FAQs
EverNow is a festival during the Noongar season of Kambarang. This major new event celebrates the unique place, land and culture of Western Australia – forever and now. The free and inclusive festival runs over a single weekend in Boorloo/Perth from Wednesday 4 – Monday 9 October in Kambarang, the wildflower season of birth and new life in the Noongar calendar.
EverNow will feature three major public presentations in three central locations: Song Circle, Fire Gardens and Boorna Waanginy: The Trees Speak. These free shows will light up your senses, reconnect with Country and rediscover nature over one spectacular weekend of celebration.
EverNow runs from Wednesday 4 – Monday 9 October. This free festival features three outdoor spectacles in central Boorloo/Perth that reflect WA’s unique environment in Kambarang, grounded in Noongar knowledge. They are Song Circle at Supreme Court Gardens (Wed 4 – Sun 8 Oct), Fire Gardens at Government House Gardens (Thu 5 – Sun 8 Oct) and Boorna Waanginy: The Trees Speak at Kings Park (Fri 6 – Mon 9 Oct).

All events are free. However, you do need to register for Fire Gardens. UPDATE | Fire Gardens online registrations are now CLOSED. EverNow is centrally located in the Perth CBD (Song Circle and Fire Gardens) and Kings Park (Boorna Waanginy: The Trees Speak), and we encourage visitors to use public transport, ride or walk where possible.
There is NO parking available in Kings Park. For up-to-date information on parking availability download the City of Perth parking app.

Make your way to all the events in one night by getting the bus travelling between Kings Park and St Georges Tce.
- Travelling to Kings Park from St Georges Tce bus stop 10081 (St Georges Tc Stand M before Barrack St) adjacent to Council House.
- Travelling to St Georges Tce from Kings Park bus stop 10113 (Kings Park Road) adjacent to Dumas House.

Yes! EverNow will be a fantastic experience for audiences of all ages.
EverNow events are all free and within easy and convenient reach in the heart of Boorloo/Perth. Whether you are a visitor to Perth, coming on your own or as a family or group of friends, EverNow is an opportunity to light up your senses and be inspired by the beauty and brilliance all around you.
You can check out each event on a different night of the festival or take in the full EverNow experience in one big night out, starting with Song Circle at Supreme Court Gardens from 5.30pm and then Fire Gardens at Government House Gardens next door (registration required) and then up to Kings Park for Boorna Waanginy: The Trees Speak (last entry 10.30pm). Please visit the event pages for times and details about getting to and between these events.
Service dogs are welcome at EverNow, but for the safety of both your pet and other people, including children, we ask you to leave animals at home due to the large crowds expected.
There will be food trucks available at Kings Park and Supreme Court Gardens, and please note that EverNow is an alcohol-free event. We encourage you to enjoy the many wonderful hospitality options available around Perth City before or after your EverNow experiences.

Boorna Waanginy: The Trees Speak was the opening event for Perth Festival 2017 and Perth Festival 2019 during the Noongar season of Bunuru. Now, Boorna Waanginy is reborn full of new stories especially for the new season of Kambarang, the time of regrowth and new life. This new production for EverNow brings amazing new sound and light technology to transform the iconic trees of Kings Park into a vast ever-moving canvas that will make the experience even more spectacular and inspiring.

Road Closures – Supreme Court Gardens and surrounds.

Thursday 5 October – Sunday 8 October
Road closures will be in place on the corner of Governors Ave & Terrace Rd between 3pm-11pm.
No access to Governors Ave via Riverside Drive.
Any vehicles parked in the road closure area will be towed.
CPP Terrace Road Carpark and Perth Concert Hall Carpark will remain accessible via Victoria Ave.

Road closures will be in place within Kings Park and the surrounding area during the event. Set up will occur
the week commencing 2 October and additional closures will be in place within Kings Park during this week.
Monday 2 – Thursday 5 October 2023
5.00pm – 12.00am: Fraser Ave, Wadjuk Way and some internal roads and carparks in Kings Park (Fraser’s
Restaurant patrons can access Kings Park via Saw Ave).
Friday 6 – Monday 9 October 2023
5.30pm until 12.00am: Kings Park & Botanic Gardens – Fraser Ave, Lovekin Drive, Forrest Drive and May Drive.
Fraser’s Restaurant patrons can access Wadjuk Carpark via the control point at Saw Ave/May Drive.
6.30pm until 12.00am: Full road closure of Kings Park Rd/Malcolm St from Colin St to Milligan St.
Partial road closure southbound on Havelock St from Ord St to Kings Park Road.
Local Residents only will be permitted through a controlled checkpoint to Cliff St, Mount St and Bellevue
Terrace. Access is via Mount St/St Georges Tce or Elder St/St Georges Tce.
Please note cars parked within the road closure will be towed.
We will be keeping an eye on the weather and will provide any updates. Each of the three events will be impacted differently so it is possible one might be cancelled but another will go ahead depending on the conditions. Look out for our updates on social media and on our website. Please check the weather before you head to the event to make sure you’re dressed appropriately. The evenings can sometimes get chilly in October.

It is anticipated EverNow will become an annual event that will grow from strength-to-strength each year. This new event is projected to be a major tourism driver in future years, creating job opportunities for West Australians and boosting the WA economy.
EverNow is proudly supported by the WA Government, with the State-owned event to be presented by Tourism WA and produced by Perth Festival’s out-of-season Special Projects arm.
